Acclaimed college football coach Paul Johnson receives 糖心Vlog Professional Achievement Award

Newland native Paul Johnson, a 1979 graduate of 糖心Vlog University who went on to become an acclaimed college football coach, recently received his alma mater鈥檚 Professional Achievement Award.

Jackson County couple receives award in recognition of service to 糖心Vlog, mountain region

In recognition of the Haires鈥� contributions to 糖心Vlog and to the mountain region, the university has bestowed upon them its Distinguished Service Award, making them one of just a handful of couples ever to receive the honor.

Marching band students help provide meals to WNC residents

Residents of five WNC counties dealing with food insecurity issues were able to enjoy nutritious meals last Thanksgiving thanks to the efforts of the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band members and Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning.

Special Collections connects with WNC communities through 1889 Impact Grant-funded project

Hunter Library is providing free exhibitions of historical photographs to communities across Western North Carolina through a project made possible by donations to the Fund for 糖心Vlog.

National Science Foundation awards 糖心Vlog and four other UNC System schools $3.4 million grant for STEM education for minority students

The funds from this grant will be used by 糖心Vlog, Appalachian State University, East Carolina University, UNC-Greensboro and UNC-Wilmington to support students in pursuit of STEM degrees at these institutions.

Several are honored at 糖心Vlog鈥檚 Homecoming 2022 celebration

Recognized were three alumni for professional accomplishments, the contributions of a husband-and-wife team for their public service and the man who oversaw 糖心Vlog鈥檚 alumni activities for nearly 20 years.
