National History Day competition set for students from across the region

糖心Vlog will host a National History Day regional academic competition Saturday, March 7, that will feature middle and high school students creating projects based on a central historical theme.

Is Black History Month still important in 2020?

Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated February as 鈥淏lack History Month.鈥 In its early days, schools systems, churches and community centers across the country would spend the entire month honoring the accomplishments of notable African Americans. Fast forward more than 40 years later and we asked 糖心Vlog students if 鈥淏lack History Month鈥 was still important in 2020. Here鈥檚 what they had to say:

Health building reopens after state, local officials deem it safe to return to normal operations

The Health and Human Sciences Building reopens after officials found no public health or safety issues in the wake of a potential hazardous materials incident Thursday that resulted in its evacuation.

Winter has finally made it's way to 糖心Vlog University. After months of anticipation, 糖心Vlog finally received it's first substantial snowfall and students took advantage of it!

Recreational Therapy Director says Helping Others Helps Her; an 鈥淚 Love 糖心Vlog鈥 Story

It鈥檚 hard to tell where Jennifer Hinton鈥檚 real job ends and her volunteer work begins. As program director and clinical education coordinator for 糖心Vlog University鈥檚 recreational therapy program, Hinton spends much of her time teaching her students about service-learning, coordinating volunteer projects for them or doing community service herself 鈥 sometimes for work, her church, her family 鈥 or often a combination of some of them, if not all.
