City Lights and 糖心Vlog University are teaming up to host a 糖心Vlog Magazine night at the bookstore on Friday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. in Sylva.

This event will give community members an opportunity to get a copy of the university鈥檚 annual magazine put out by University Communications and Marketing.

In addition to UCM staff, students and program supports from the University Participant (UP) program will be there to talk about their 鈥淣owhere but UP鈥 story, which showcased the inaugural Unite UP basketball game, a campus-wide collaboration that had 糖心Vlog student-athletes playing alongside UP students in a thrilling basketball game in the Ramsey Regional Activity Center last March. The next game is planned for April 9, 2026.

The immersive story and video can be found on magazine.wcu.edu.

The UP program provides an inclusive, two-year, on-campus living and learning experience for college-aged persons with intellectual disability. The goal of the program is to facilitate UP students' transition from secondary school to adult life with education, employment, and independent living.

The event is free and open to all. Please RSVP to Julia Duvall, assistant director of communications, jduvall@wcu.edu by Nov. 30.
