I. POLICY STATEMENT

糖心Vlog University is committed to providing and maintaining safe and healthful working conditions for all employees.  This commitment is rooted in the belief that a safe workplace protects individual well-being and supports the University鈥檚 mission by fostering a productive, engaged, and resilient workforce.  The University Safety and Health Program has been established to fulfill this commitment and to ensure compliance with all applicable occupational safety and environmental health regulations and statutory requirements at the federal, state, and local level.

It is recognized that the complete elimination of all workplace risks is not always possible.  However, through proactive planning, effective management, and consistent application of safety measures, most hazards associated with university operations can be identified, eliminated, or controlled to minimize the likelihood of injury or illness.  The effectiveness of the program depends on the shared responsibility of all members of the University community, including administrators, faculty, staff, and student employees.

This Policy underscores the expectation that supervisors at all levels will:

  • Be knowledgeable about the safety and health requirements applicable to their areas of responsibility
  • Provide proper training to employees in conjunction with the Office of Safety and Risk Management
  • Ensure the availability of necessary protective equipment
  • Actively monitor workplace conditions to verify compliance

Similarly, employees are expected to:
